Late this afternoon I pulled into the driveway and noticed that the sun was hitting the lilies in our side yard so I rushed out with the kids and the camera and played for a bit. I'm still struggling with sun flare a little, if I go up to f/18 or so to get the good sunbeams my subject shows up really dark, even when I compensate by upping my ISO and using a slow shutter speed. Any good tips from sun flare pros? I'll keep trying!

I've been practicing too and it seems I get the best sun flare when the sun is at my side, like at 10 or 2. Also, if you have a hood on your lens or even a filter, that can take the sun flare away.
