Day 245: May 7, 2012

The scotch broom is blooming which means I'm itching to get out to the field to get some pretty photos with the yellow blossoms in the background!

Day 243: May 5, 2012

The azalea bushes were buzzing with bees, so I spent a few minutes trying to catch one semi-still and got this:

Day 240: May 2, 2012

More early morning light, the front yard tree has leaves!

Day 238: April 30, 2012

Quick shot from our front yard looking down our street early in the morning.

Day 235: April 27, 2012

I was trying to see how my 135L handles sun flare but the sun was a little too high in the sky so instead I got this photo of the pretty bush in my neighbor's front yard.  Love the little bit of orange leaves up top!

Day 230: April 22, 2012

Quick early morning shot of the front yard tree budding out in red leaves.

Day 224: April 16, 2012

The backyard tree is finally blossomed out, I took this at sunset while standing in a large (empty) flower planter to get tall enough!

Day 223: April 15, 2012

I met with the Momtographers group this afternoon for a photo walk at the cherry blossoms next to the capitol.  We were a little too late for cherry blossoms (glad I went two weeks ago when I had the chance with the kids!) but we found plenty to photograph around the capitol grounds and on Willamette University campus right across the street.  I found this little ladybug in the daffodil beds just before we really got going.

Day 220: April 12, 2012

I went outside this afternoon for 15 minutes after helping Grace finish her homework and had some fun with my macro while the lighting was decent.  Love the cherry blossoms on our tree!

Day 219: April 11, 2012

The cherry blossom trees are finally in bloom, a little late but better late then never!

Day 208: March 31, 2012

Our cherry trees are finally starting to blossom.  Spring may be late but at least it's coming!

Day 200: March 23, 2012

Another macro of the flowering weeds and moss that covers everything.

Day 199: March 22, 2012

It snowed.  Again.  Is spring ever going to get here?  I didn't get outside to take a photo until late afternoon when only a few patches of ice were left in my drowned back yard.

Day 197: March 20, 2012

I'm having fun with my macro lens lately!  This is one of the little flowering weeds that are threatening to take over my bark dust.  At least they make for pretty pictures.

Day 183: March 6, 2012

I snuck outside in the "dusting" of snow (seriously NOT enough for a 2 hour school delay) in my pj's to get some macro frost shots.  Can't resist frost and morning sunlight!

Day 182: March 5, 2012

Found some interesting color starting to show up in the brambles behind my house....come one spring!

Day 179: March 2, 2012

Getting away from the sticks and brambles...and on to the hated azaleas.  I really don't like azaleas for most of the year, they have a few days of being pretty and that's about it.  I do like the red tipped leaves on the buds right now though...

Day 177: February 29, 2012

Since I was still getting over jet lag today I didn't pick my camera up much, but I did manage to sneak outside to catch some evening light in the brambles behind my house.  Can't wait for spring and something to photograph other than dead brambles and sticks!

Day 170: February 22, 2012

A quick photo taken hastily before heading up to my Mom's house to drop off the kids and leave for London!

Day 167: February 19, 2012

I went on a photo walk downtown Salem this afternoon with a group of women from the Momtographers photography group I belong to.  We had a lot of fun and I took the opportunity to play around with different lenses.  I love the colors and texture of this shot.
